Narcolepsy Treatment

By Narcolepsy Coach

Hello fellow person with Narcolepsy, Peter here!

I was diagnosed with narcolepsy back in 2012. When I was first diagnosed I was lost, depressed, and almost gave up. But in the following years, I learned how to manage this disease without medication and not accept it’s limitations.

So why does this website exist?

I built this website in order to help other people with narcolepsy. But I have one primary focus. That is to help others build habits that lessen the symptoms of your narcolepsy. Specifically through:

  • Diet
  • Stress management
  • Lifestyle + Exercise

Are you personally looking for a different treatment regimen?

Narcolepsy Treatment

My Narcolepsy treatment started with learning about nutrition, then light exposure, then exercise, and pieced together many narcolepsy natural treatment options. Piece by piece I built the structure of knowledge I needed to live the life I craved. Next, I built the habits to implement the new knowledge I learned into my life.

Kind Words

Along the way, my writing has resonated with other PWN:

“Beautifully put, really put things into perspective for me”

-Jennifer K

Very inspiring.”

-Mandy

“You are a blessing Peter!”

-Sébastien B

“Spot on!!!! Thank you for sharing and I’m glad you woke up today because I needed to read this.”

-Adrianna

“My sentiments exactly … thank you for sharing, hugs to you.”

-Jessica

“I am still figuring it all out – your website has helped me, the medicine has helped me, lifestyle changes have helped me, workplace accommodations have helped me.  But the biggest help of all has been the affirmation.  Affirmation that what I am dealing with is real and hard and complex.  Affirmation that I am even stronger for having endured this journey.  So, thank you for being one of the voices reaching through my fog, tapping me on the shoulder, and pointing me to the light.”

Wide awake and dreaming

Let’s talk about the elephant in the room: who the heck am I?

I’m not a doctor, nor do I play one on the internet. All the advice on this website I’ve pieced together from personal research, other trustworthy websites, and books. If something I’ve written doesn’t resonate with you, no worries. At the end of the day, I’m just a PWN trying to get people to change their habits, mindset, and suggest the best products for narcolepsy.  I’m no hero, I’m not special, nor do I have all the answers. I’m just curious, persistent, and want to help others when and where I can.

Closing Words

I’ve been you. I’ve been knocked down by this disease time and time again. Honestly, there was a point in my life where I didn’t think I could continue with it. But I’m here to tell you that there’s hope.

There are actions you can implement to help alleviate your EDS. You can adopt a better mindset. You can work on the relationships that are causing you friction. All it takes is some new knowledge, a bit of persistence, and of course someone to guide you through it 🙂

I’m rooting for you.

-Peter
